Professor Pichler explains to the students the importance of a conscious listening, paying attention to all the details and then applying all the resources to improve the performance. They talk about articulation, sound and vibrato. It is very useful to record themselves to listen to what they are doing and solve it directly, checking the result later. There are three fundamental things to do: studying in front of the mirror, recording themselves and using the metronome, as tempo is one of the most important elements in music. They also work on phrasing, dynamics, harmony and character.
