Paola Andrea Leguizamón Santos

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1991. From 2020 to 2023, she studied at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Fundación Ramón Areces “Alfredo Kraus” Voice Chair, with professor Susan Bullock CBE, among others.

In 2013 she was awarded second prize at the National Singing Competition (Colombia) and in 2015 she was finalist and received a special mention at the International Singing Competition in Trujillo (Peru). In 2016 she participated at the Sant Angelo in Vado School summer programme (Italy) and was selected for the International Opera Studio in Gijón (Spain). In 2018 she won the Singing Award of the City of Bogotá in the category of Excellence, as well as the Victoria de los Ángeles Award for the best concert song performance, which allowed her to participate as a guest at the LIVE Victoria Festival in Barcelona and within the Notas de Ambigú cycle at Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid in 2019. That same year she was also awarded first female prize at the Maria Callas International Competition in São Paulo (Brazil). Her roles include Angelina (“La Cenerentola”) and Rosina (“Il Barbiere di Siviglia”), among others.

As a student of the School, she has attended masterclasses by Adrian Thompson and has been soloist with the Sinfonietta under the baton of Johannes Kalitzke and within the Rising Generation series at Madrid's Auditorio Nacional, the Spain's World Heritage Cities Chamber Music series (Úbeda) and the Soloists of the 21st century series.
She has been a member of the Fundación Orange Voces Tempo Trio.
